"Here We Go Once more" is a vocal recorded by American vocaliser Demi Lovato. Information technology was written by Isaac Hasson, Lindy Robbins and Mher Filian and produced by SuperSpy, for Lovato'due south second studio album of the same name. It was released as the album's lead unmarried on June 23, 2009, through Hollywood Records. The song was the only single from Here Nosotros Go Again released in Due north America. "Here Nosotros Go Again" is a power pop song with guitar lines and pop hooks and the lyrics speak of the protagonist'south on-off relationship with a hesitant boyfriend.

The song received positive reviews from critics, who praised its pop hook and made comparisons to works of Kelly Clarkson. "Here We Become Again" peaked at number xv on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Lovato's first top 40 hit on the nautical chart as a solo artist. The song was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2014. It also peaked at number 38 in New Zealand and in the lower region of the Canadian Hot 100.

"Hither Nosotros Go Again" was recorded at three dissimilar recording studios in California; SuperSpy Studios in Los Angeles, Resonate Studios in Burbank, and The Jungle Room in Glendale.[5] Boosted recording took place at Safe House Studios in Greensboro, North Carolina.[5] Co-author Robbins contributed backing vocals.[5] Hasson provided programming, guitars and synths, and Filian handled programming and keys. The instruments were played by Dorian Crozier, who provided drums, and Kenny Johnson, who played the bass.[5] The vocal was ultimately mixed by Chris Lord-Alge.[5] "Here We Get Once more" premiered during Planet Premiere on Radio Disney on June 17, 2009,[vi] and was released as the lead single for the anthology of the same name via digital download on June 23, through Hollywood Records.[7] It was later released in Australia and New Zealand on July 17, 2009.[8] [9]

"Here We Go Once again" is an uptempo pop-stone song, with guitar lines and pop hooks.[10] [12] [13] Critics fabricated comparisons with works by Kelly Clarkson, specially the song "Since U Been Gone".[12] [xiv] According to sheet music published at Musicnotes.com past Kobalt Music Publishing, "Here We Go Once more" is written in the time signature of common fourth dimension, with a moderately fast tempo of 144 beats per minute. "Here Nosotros Go Once again" received generally positive reviews from music critics. The Arizona Commonwealth 's Ed Masley referred information technology to as "an explosion of pop hooks delivered with a winning blend of heartache and bravado".[xiii] Kerri Stonemason of Billboard called the song a potential hit single and noted that Lovato "almost sounds like Kelly Clarkson's child sis".[14] Margaret Wappler of Los Angeles Times compared information technology to Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" and wrote that Lovato "tells a guy where to stick it over buff guitar lines".[12] Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic chosen the anthology "not quite as much fun" as Don't Forget, "but still fun, especially when Lovato tears into hooky ability pop like 'Here We Go Once again'."[10] Erlewine also named information technology one of the best tracks on the album.[10] Chicago Tribune 's Althea Legaspi referred it to as "anthemic" and "catchy",[18] while Houston Chronicle critic Joey Guerra described it was non as "immediate a grabber" as Lovato's previous singles.[19]

"Here We Become Again" was directed by Brendan Malloy and Tim Wheeler, both who directed Lovato'south previous video "La La Land".[27] The music video was filmed on June 8, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.[17] Information technology premiered on June 26, 2009 on Disney Aqueduct,[28] following the premiere of Princess Protection Programme (which stars Lovato). The video begins with Lovato in their dressing room to set up for their concert. Lovato is talking to their boyfriend (portrayed past Christopher Mason) over the phone. After hanging up, they rip up a photo of the two of them together, implying he ended their human relationship. He tries to telephone call them back, merely they ignore the call and heads to the stage. The fellow is shown visiting the concert and subsequently Lovato finished the performance, they returns to their dressing room. He meets them with a rose and they begin their human relationship once more.

Lovato has performed "Here We Go Once more" on several occasions. To promote the album, they appeared on The This night Prove with Conan O'Brien to perform the song on July 17, 2009.[29] They performed information technology alongside the anthology cut "Catch Me" on Skilful Morning America on July 23, while performing "Here We Become Again" but on Tardily Nighttime with Jimmy Fallon and The View later the aforementioned twenty-four hour period.[30] [31] The song was also performed during their Summertime Tour 2009, where information technology was the closing song.[32] In September 2011, Lovato performed the song during the revue concert An Evening with Demi Lovato every bit part of a medley with "Get Back" and "La La Land".[33] They later performed the same medley during the bout A Special Night with Demi Lovato.[34]
