All Images That Are Uploaded to Flickr Can Be Viewed by Everyone. True or False

Hairlover bilang:

Only individual photos accept permissions and safety filters. A fix in which every photo is individual (friends, e.g.,) can be seen just past people to whom you have given friends permissions. If some of the photos in the set are public, visitors volition run across simply those but not the private images.

You tin make a ready individual -- visible only to you -- and so issue a Guest Pass to the ready. Nevertheless, once anyone visits your 'stream, they volition be able to meet all of your public content and any other content for which they have permission to see (friends / family). Remember that any private photograph you add to a group can be seen by any signed-in group member.

The only style to permit just a part (a set up, e.g.,) of your 'stream to be seen is to make everything private (visible only to you lot), then issue a Guest Pass for a set. Perhaps a meliorate manner would be to sequester some of your content that you lot wish to limit in some other account, which tin be hidden from searches, if you wish.

As far equally downloading is concerned, any photograph that tin be seen tin be downloaded; there's nothing you or Flickr can do to modify that.

Cheers Hairlover.

Can you direct people to the folder specfically? Or exercise you just give them the URL to ones account where all folders non marked individual tin be seen?

Hairlover bilang:

You can direct visitors to your material by sending them the URL to your account, to a set or to an individual photo.

For example, for a set, look above the fix and to the right, click "Share." Enter the e-mail address of the intended recipient. If at that place's whatsoever individual content in the set, you will be given an opportunity to add a Invitee Laissez passer. You can select which of your individual content (friends / family / but you) that you wish to be seen by the recipient.

Notation that you cannot share Restricted content past Invitee Laissez passer, only Safe and Moderate. For restricted content, you tin can e-mail the URL of the set or photo.

Go on in heed, notwithstanding, that if you lot straight someone to a particular ready, while they won't run across other private material (unless you give them permission) they can always see ALL public content in your business relationship. At that place is no manner to hibernate public photos from someone viewing your account (even if y'all've given them the URL for a single set).

And then are you proverb that I have to e-mail invite anybody I desire to have access to the photos?

Here's the deal I'g trying to fix....

This coming weekend is a high schoolhouse dry grad celebration and there will be most 350 grads attending. I want to requite them all access to these photos so they can become theirs just I don't desire to invite all af them. I desire to just post the address where they tin can get the flick at the event itself.
Tin that be done? Allow them just become to the pics without an "invite" specifically.

Either make the photos public and send them your photostream URL or brand them private, send YOURSELF the Guest Laissez passer, and mail the pass to everyone who needs it. Note that there is no download link available with a Guest Pass.

post the pass to everyone who needs it
Or, equivalently, print it on paper invites, make a imprint and hang it on the wall, plough it into a QR code, become custom T-shirts, whatever. Information technology doesn't matter how they become the magic link, simply so long as they get information technology.

Alternatively, if you're happy with any random person beingness able to see the photos, only brand them public and point people at the account - no Guest Laissez passer magic required.

One terminal question.. Is at that place a limit to how many pics (or how much space mb/gb) y'all tin post on a free account?

Thanks to all for your aid. Much appreciated

No limit to the number you can upload, only in that location is a limit on the corporeality of megabytes you tin can upload in a month, and only the final 200 photos uploaded will be visible. A complete list of differences between complimentary and "pro" is in the FAQ.

The Ewan bilang:

Details of the gratis account limits are here, only the short version is that you can just upload 300 megabytes of stuff in a month, just the most recent 200 things you post will prove upward, and no-1 (not even you lot) can run into your original files (yous simply get the smaller Flickr generated sizes, but these days, even those are pretty big).

For the first limit it's purely based on corporeality uploaded, so yous can upload 300 things at 1MB each, or one huge 300MB monster, it'southward all 300MB. That resets at the end of each month, then you tin can upload another 300MB worth. Besides, deleting things doesn't help, so if you use upload 300MB of stuff then delete it all, you've still uploaded 300MB of stuff, and then you're however out of quota until it resets.

The '200 nigh contempo visible' limit doesn't go away unless you go a 'pro' account.

Getting a 'pro' business relationship (which I recollect you can do for equally little as iii months at a get at present) lifts the restrictions retroactively too, then if you upload more than 200 things with a free account and some of them become hidden, they re-appear every bit presently as you lot upgrade, y'all get admission to all you previously uploaded originals etc.

Here'due south some information yous may find useful from flickr user Wil C. Fry:

(Copy-and-paste respond to this oft-asked question)

One of the limits of a free Flickr account is that your photostream volition only display your most recent 200 uploads. Because the following are only extensions of your photostream, they also won't show upwardly in sets, your "athenaeum", or direct tag links from your photostream.

However, bold the images were marked "anyone tin can run into" and they were ready to be searchable, they:

ane) still evidence up on blogs:
wilcfry.com/blogs/mylife/?p=2937

2) are still viewable from a direct link to the photopage:
www.flickr.com/photos/marline0919/45970815/

3) are still viewable on group pool pages:
www.flickr.com/groups/photosbymarline/puddle/with/45970815/

four) are still findable via global search:
world wide web.flickr.com/search/?q=seminolecountyoklahoma+scary&amp...

5) tin can still exist found with a blank search of the person's photostream (if you lot're not signed into that account):
www.flickr.com/search/?w=61999621%40N00&z=t&ss=two&...

6) can still exist seen on other people's faves pages (if they were faved):
world wide web.flickr.com/photos/saintseminole/favorites/with/459708...

seven) tin still be seen in galleries (if they were added to galleries):
www.flickr.com/photos/saintseminole/galleries/72157629182...

(All examples above utilise the same image from my wife's free account, which has over 500 images in information technology.)

And some more information y'all may notice useful from flickr user IrenicRhonda:

The 200 limit is for visibility in your photostream only your photos are still visible in groups and searchable by tags.

So, if you lot don't accept a 'pro' account to go on access to all your photos, do ane or both of the following.

(i) Add together a unique tag to all your images. Easy to do in Organizer. Your 'hidden' content remains searchable. This just works if your entire 'stream is public.

(ii) Create a group and add all your images to it. Your 'hidden' content tin still be viewed in groups. If you lot wish the group tin be private, with you every bit the only member. Images can also exist private every bit member'southward of groups tin can see private images added to a group pool

This gives you lot access to the Flickr generated large size merely not the originals, just the same as in a photostream with a free account
